COURSE OVERVIEW 

A learner said-” if I could give a new name to peace, I would name it a violin.” This sentence well describes how peaceful and soothing it is for a person to learn an instrument like a violin. Also, what could be better than being able to play one’s favorite song on it? Along with that, an instrument like a violin is a unique instrument to learn.

 Our course helps the learner, not only to learn the technicalities of playing violin but also introduces him to the conceptual part of it. We aim at creating such an environment for all our learners where they can explore and understand the subject and its various dimensions. We have professional educators who are dedicated towards creating an active interaction and a joyful learning environment.

Every class is designed in such a way that the student is able to have active interaction with the teacher throughout the session and can ask any doubts or questions to understand the concept better. Not only this but the students are also encouraged by monthly competitions held between all the learners learning in the platform. The winners are rewarded with exciting prizes which encourage all the learners to constantly improve and excel in their respective subjects.

We aim at maintaining a positive and healthy learning environment on our platform as we understand that stress-free and simplified learning methods ensure effortless growth.

Monthly assessments are held for both teachers and students where the teachers discuss with the parents and the students, the student’s progress, strong points, and points of improvement. The students are also invited to provide their honest feedback on the teacher they are learning with and on the basis of the same, teachers are constantly made aware of their works of appreciation and points of improvement.

Objective of the course 

This course aims at –

1. Introducing the learner to the basics as well as advanced techniques and various bowing techniques such as smooth bowing, accented bowing, orchestral violin bowing, and techniques like detach bow stroke, legato bow stroke, tenuto, portato, double stop, chords etc
2. Introducing the learner to different concepts of music and violin-like melody, rhythm, harmony, pitch, dynamic, tempo, up bow and down bow, intonation, muscle memory, ear training, etc 
3. Introducing sight read skills like staff, notes, and types of notes, counts, rests, bar and bar lines, time signatures, clefs – treble and bass clefs, grand staff, ledger lines, major and relative minor scales on the staff, key signature, circle of fifths, ornaments in the staff.
4. Teaching the learner, her/her favorite songs and melodies and classical violin playlists.
5. Preparing the learner for different examinations related to violin and guiding them for the same. 

Outcome 

After the completion of the course, the learner will be able to play the violin with its major techniques. The learner will be aware of all the conceptual and technical parts of playing violin and will be able to apply the same while playing his favorite songs and melodies. The learner will also be eligible to appear for the examinations for the same.
