Overview 

The best way to introduce your child to the world of music is to get him a keyboard, which is also the easiest instrument to start with. But learning a keyboard is like learning a language. One can easily learn how to say hello and good morning but an experienced instructor is required to specialise the speaking skills. Our course not only guides the students on their journey of learning the keyboard from the very basics to the mastery levels but also provides a systematic curriculum structure to rely on. 

Every class is designed in such a way that the student not only learns about practical techniques of playing the keyboard but also learns the concepts and terminologies associated with them. Along with this, after each completed class, the students are provided with systematically arranged notes of the concepts and techniques taught in the class. 

Every class is designed in such a way that the student is able to have active interaction with the teacher throughout the session and can ask any doubts or questions to understand the concept better. Not only this but the students are also encouraged by monthly competitions held between all the learners learning in the platform. The winners are rewarded with exciting prizes which encourage all the learners to constantly improve and excel in their respective subjects.

We aim at maintaining a positive and healthy learning environment on our platform as we understand that stress-free and simplified learning methods ensure effortless growth.

Monthly assessments are held for both teachers and students where the teachers discuss with the parents and the students, the student’s progress, strong points, and points of improvement. The students are also invited to provide their honest feedback on the teacher they are learning with and on the basis of the same, teachers are constantly made aware of their works of appreciation and points of improvement.

Objective 

This course aims at –

1. Introducing the students to the basic techniques of playing the keyboard like alphabetic notes, finger numbers, sharps, flats, naturals, enharmonics, finger positions, octaves, both-hand keyboard playing, major and minor scales, major and minor triads, chords, and arpeggios.
2. Introducing the students to the various concepts related to music like melody, rhythm, harmony, pitch, major and minor, tempo, dynamics, legato and staccato, crescendo and diminuendo, intervals, tones, and semitones, ornaments, western composers, the evolution of music, etc.
3. Introducing sight read skills like staff, notes, and types of notes, counts, rests, bar and bar lines, time signatures, clefs – treble and bass clefs, grand staff, ledger lines, major and relative minor scales on the staff, key signature, circle of fifths, triads on the staff, ornaments in the staff.
4. Teaching the students, songs starting from basic level songs like rhymes followed by a student’s favorite songs and learning to play a song with both hands. 
5. Preparing the students for trinity keyboard examinations and guiding them on how to appear for the same. 

Outcome

After the completion of the course, the learner will be able to play the keyboard with both hands and all the techniques associated with it. The learner will also be able to play his/her favorite songs with both hands. Additionally, the learners will be well prepared for the Trinity Grade examinations suitable for them. Also, the learner will be aware of the terminologies and concepts associated with the subject.
