OVERVIEW 

A hollow wooden pipe when blown correctly, creates sounds of the heavens and that’s what we call a flute. Combined with air and wood, the sound created by the instrument is so soothing that even lord Krishna himself decided to make it his symbolization. The flute is considered a part of not only Hindustani classical music but also Carnatic classical music, and various forms of Western music. It is an instrument that is complete in itself and barely needs any accompaniment to make it sound beautiful and melodious. But as the instrument is unique so are its learning techniques. One requires a trained and professional instructor to learn the flute, who can teach the instrument from its very basics and take the learner towards the journey of advancement of the subject.  

Every class is designed in such a way that the student not only learns about practical techniques of playing the flute but also learns the concepts and terminologies associated with them. Along with this, after each completed class, the students are provided with systematically arranged notes of the concepts and techniques taught in the class.

Every class is designed in such a way that the student is able to have active interaction with the teacher throughout the session and can ask any doubts or questions to understand the concept better. Not only this but the students are also encouraged by monthly competitions held between all the learners learning in the platform. The winners are rewarded with exciting prizes which encourage all the learners to constantly improve and excel in their respective subjects.

We aim at maintaining a positive and healthy learning environment on our platform as we understand that stress-free and simplified learning methods ensure effortless growth.

Monthly assessments are held for both teachers and students where the teachers discuss with the parents and the students, the student’s progress, strong points, and points of improvement. The students are also invited to provide their honest feedback on the teacher they are learning with and on the basis of the same, teachers are constantly made aware of their works of appreciation and points of improvement.

Objective 

We aim at –

• Introducing the learner to various technical concepts like holding a flute, notes, and types of notes, breath control, and training, finger practice, learning to play an octave, learning a major scale, tuning a flute, learning Alankara, playing the flute with a metronome, ornamentations in flute. 
• Introducing and training a learner to play various ragas on a flute-like Bhairava, Yamana, Bilawal, Khamaaj, Bhupali, Kaafi, and many more. 
• Introducing a learner to various classical concepts like Dhun, Taal, Thaat, Jati, Vaadi, Samvaadi, various kinds of laya- Vilambit laya, Madhyam laya, Dhrut Laya, various kinds of taal- Daadra, Keherwa, Teen taal and much more. 
• Teaching the learner various bhajans, famous songs, learner’s favorite songs, and the process of composition of songs in Flute. 
• Introducing the learner to various kinds of ornamentation in flute like Kan, Meend, Tonguing, Kampan, Gamak, Andolan, Murki, Khatka, ZamZama

Outcome 

After the completion of the course, the learner will be aware of the various techniques and the conceptual dimensions of the subject and will be able to play his favorite songs on the flute. The learner will also be able to give live performances and participate in various flute playing events and perform well in them. The learner will also be capable of appearing in relevant examinations relate to flute and be able to score well in them.
